Waiting for the new school to be built, we continued with the building of the new gym on our school yard. And finally! Now we enjoy our PE classes on our own premises! (click on pictures to enlarge)
The following article appeared in the Leinster Express on May 9th, 2007: New gym officially launched at St. Paul's. After waiting the best part seven years for a new gym, the students and
teachers of St Paul's Secondary School, Monasterevin officially unveiled their
new facility on Saturday. The new building is dedicated to the memory of the late Tom Collins, a former teacher in the school, who had been instrumental in having the original gym built in the eighties. Tom was very active on the basketball scene in Secondary Schools in Ireland, and also has a competition named after him.
